Many people may not realize that they have a sleeping disorder. In fact almost everyone has suffered from some type of sleep disorder at one time. They may just think that they are restless and have a hard time falling asleep at night. However this may not be the sufficient reason at all. If you wake up during the night sometimes with the sensation of choking or grasping for breath or wake up with headaches and have trouble staying awake during the day is the symptom of sleep apnea. You are already under a threat of a serious, potentially life-threatening sleeping disorder called sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea is a Greek word which means breathing disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. Even people bothered by sleep apnea complain that they are waking up with a sore or dry throat.  This happens to them for wake up choking or gasping for air. Sleep apnea can be associated with memory problems, weight gain, impotency, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke.

Sometimes people who are affected by sleep apnea are waking up to the sound of their own snoring. Even sleep apnea complains that they are tired during the day. This is what you need to get some treatment for it and may be the right time to get some treatment. Because they are not getting sufficient sleep at night and this is making it hard for them to deal with a normal work in day time. In some cases it affects their job performance or gets them in trouble at school with failing grades.

In fact people those who are suffering from sleep apnea, their symptoms are very common in most cases. These are like headaches, forgetfulness, terrible mood swings and even lack of sex drive. This implies a person that they are not getting enough sleep at night and it is the time to get a treatment for their disorder.

Many people those who are suffering from sleep apnea, they are not getting enough sleep at night and they try to get some sleep medications to help them fall asleep and stay sleeping at night. In fact this is the wrong approach to this disorder. Although these medications are effective in some cases, but there are some side effects of these medications which make the problem worse.

Lots of people depend upon the sleeping medications when they can not get the sleep that they need. Knowingly the side effects of these medications they taking such steps which leads to disturb their day. They may feel drowsier from the medications or they can feel nervous and jumpy. In fact these alternatives are not always the best choice for a person that has a sleeping disorder like sleep apnea. However the best way is to get the help from a professional for a good nights rest.
